Foster For Us
We are in dire need of foster homes for these amazing dogs

We get calls and emails from pounds and shelters saying that there are amazing huskies in their care but that, due to overcrowding and a lack of adopters, euthanasia is their only fate. NOT IF WE & OUR FOSTERS CAN HELP IT!
Huskies are the first to be euthanized when there is overcrowding at shelters because, despite being amazing dogs, their inate highly social nature results in them going to great lengths to find companionship. Many of the dogs you see listed by us on Petfinder and that you see listed here on our site are currently at a pound, where they await a potential death sentence. Only for the luckiest will an adopter come along in time to save them from this undeserved fate. That is where our foster homes come in. We place these dogs with our generous fosters while we work very hard to find the right forever home for these dogs. All dogs are altered, and up to date with shots before they enter foster care.
As a foster, there are many ways you can help save these dogs!
- on going foster homes (take in adult dogs on a continual basis)
- puppy foster homes (take in puppies and sometimes their mother until nursing is done)
- emergency foster placement homes (hold dogs for short periods while placement is found)
- seasonal foster homes (foster i.e. in the summer when you are off work, etc.)
Huskies are a beautiful, athletic, articulate and a sweet breed. Because of this they are often discarded in backyards, left on chains in the cold or left to run unattended. They end up in pounds because of their natural instinct to travel. There are far too many huskies in pounds, many are euthanized every day!
If you are willing to welcome a husky, husky mix or any type of dog into your home, please contact us. We have an extensive wait list of huskies AND other non-husky breeds in immediate need of fostering and adoption.
For every one husky you foster and help find a home we are able to pull another one off death row, and so through good karma and the kindness of strangers more dogs can be saved.

**YOU CAN NOT FOSTER A HUSKY AND HAVE CATS - Due to the nature of huskies, it is unfair to a cat, no matter how good the cat is around dogs. We are concerned with the safety of all animals!***
